Mini Sliders...mmmhm!

Just wanted to share a recipe that we have been LOVING lately. It it super easy and really quick! Just our style! Here is the recipe for some healthy mini sliders...

4 oz raw extra-lean ground beef
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 slices light bread
dill pickle chips
ketchup/mustard

Combine beef and seasonings into a small bowl, knead mixture by hand until mixed thoroughly. Divide seasoned beef evenly into four patties (we usually end up using 1 lb. of meat so, we make 16 small patties and save some for leftovers). Using a knife, make four small slits on the top of each patty. Place in the freezer for 5 min.

Bring a skillet with nonstick spray to medium-high heat. Spread onion out in the skillet. Place the patties on top of the onions, slit- side down, and cover the skillet. Cook for 3-4 min (no flipping needed)

While the patties are cooking, cut your bread into four squares. We like to toast ours first.
Once the patties are cooked through, scoop each one along with some onion onto your bread 'bun'. Top each with a pickle, ketchup and mustard. And ENJOY!

I found this recipe in my Hungry Girl 1-2-3 cook book and as written it only makes 1 serving so be sure to adjust your amounts as needed if you are feeding more then one!

so there you have it people, the easiest sliders ever. Ta-Da.
the mr. says that this 'food for girls cookbook' has changed our life.
